Join us in one of our Infrastructure, Integration and Sustainability Engineering teams and, as well as maintaining and renewing legacy assets, you’ll deliver new infrastructures and solutions. There’s more to it than tubes, roads, buildings and bridges. This is about connecting communities and creating opportunities, so we’re ready for the 21st century and beyond.
Day‑to‑day, your focus will be on delivering designs, drawings, information, calculations and enhancements that keep vital, innovative and big‑budget projects moving. You’ll make sure assets are safe, working and compliant; develop your own solutions; and be a trusted source of engineering advice for everyone, including our Heads of Engineering Delivery.
Qualifications
- Geotechnical or Civil Engineering degree
- Membership or application pending with the Institution of Civil Engineers or The Geological Society
- Experience in geotechnical inspection, ground investigation, monitoring, assessment, design and stabilisation of earth structures
- Design of foundations, retaining walls and earthworks in a railway and road environment, preferably on the TfL network or other UK major transport infrastructure
- Knowledge of legislation, technical standards and industry best practice related to earth structures and geotechnical engineering
- Ability to use key geotechnical design software Slope/W; experience with Wallap, Repute, Palxis and similar software desirable
