Overview of Project / Role
Control/supervise a site construction team to administer and supervise the construction of civil engineering contract works, maintaining safety, quality, financial and programme control, and proper execution of the contract on behalf of the client.
Key Accountabilities
- Supervise/monitor construction works to ensure safety of railway is maintained and works are undertaken to the approved designs in accordance with HSE legislation and LU standards/procedures.
- Review and agree method statements and temporary works proposals.
- Administer the contract undertaking day‑to‑day communication on contractual matters with Principal Contractor.
- Issue instructions and variations, maintain records and agree valuation of additional/varied works.
- Agree measurement and valuation of contract works and assessment of claims.
- Liaise with LUL Operational staff, HMRI, LFEPA, statutory authorities and other interested third parties/stakeholders.
- Plan and co‑ordinate possessions and occupations of the Railway.
- Manage London Underground site team, including training and personal development requirements.
- Maintain own CPD.
- Professional and technical leadership.
- All work to be undertaken in accordance with LU procedures.
Skills, Knowledge clearance from Occupational Health is required before starting.
