Hybrid working within this role enables a balance of 50 per cent of time split between the office and home over a 4‑week period. Hybrid working arrangements can evolve subject to business requirements.

Job Purpose

The Resourcing & Capability Team delivers efficient and effective resource management and capability development to enable people to achieve their full potential and maximise resource utilisation. This role is responsible for day‑to‑day resource management processes, including headcount forecasting, controls, role end dates, and the approval and implementation of HR changes. It also involves supporting senior stakeholders in using SmartCore to maintain accurate records of staff allocation and demand, and managing recruitment and contracting activities in line with the Resourcing Strategy. You will demonstrate strong problem‑solving ability, attention to detail, and confidence in communicating with stakeholders at all levels, including senior management.

Key Accountabilities

  • Maintain and support SmartCore to forecast short-, medium-, and long‑term resourcing demand
  • Coordinate resourcing plans with Resource & Capability Development Managers to ensure effective utilisation of labour and skills
  • Manage and support contract extension approvals
  • Administer procurement of consultant resources, including contractual and invoicing processes in collaboration with Commercial and Finance teams
  • Monitor workforce trends, produce reports, and track key metrics to support continuous improvement
  • Support training needs analysis and development planning with Functional Leads
  • Maintain staff competency records to ensure compliance with governance and regulatory requirements
  • Manage SAP records, approvals, and organisational structure updates, ensuring accurate organisational charts
  • Administer recruitment processes and provide progress updates to hiring managers
  • Ensure all headcount control requests are processed in line with local procedures
  • Support the preparation of PMC Agile Packs, including data collation, tracking actions, and stakeholder follow‑ups

Skills

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels

Knowledge

  • Understanding of resourcing and recruitment processes

  • Familiarity with SAP systems (desirable)
  • Academic background demonstrating numerical and analytical capability

Experience

  • Experience in resource management, planning, or similar roles within complex, matrix organisations
  • Experience administering recruitment processes
  • Experience using Excel for reporting, analysis, and data management
  • Experience using Visio to create organisational charts
  • Aware of strategic workforce planning
