Role Description
This is a part-time hybrid role based in Luton, with some flexibility to work from home (can be entirely remote).
The Social Media Content Creator will plan, create, and publish engaging content across platforms such as Instagram, Tik Tok, Facebook, and others relevant to the academy’s audience.
Day-to-day tasks include developing content calendars, producing short-form videos and graphics, writing captions and posts, and aligning content with the academy’s brand and educational mission and more.
The role also involves monitoring engagement, responding to comments and messages where appropriate, and collaborating with teaching and admin teams to highlight student achievements, upcoming classes, and key initiatives.
The Social Media Content Creator will regularly review insights and performance metrics to refine strategies and improve reach and impact.
Qualifications
- Strong skills in social media content creation, including short-form video production, graphic design, and copywriting for digital platforms.
- Ability to plan and manage content calendars, coordinate campaigns, and maintain consistent branding and tone across multiple channels.
- Experience using social media management tools and analytics to track performance, optimize content, and report on key metrics.
- Comfort working with educational or youth-focused content, with an understanding of appropriate, inclusive, and age-sensitive communication.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail and accurate spelling and grammar.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and collaborate with a small team in a hybrid work environment.
- Familiarity with the UK education system (KS2, SATs, GCSE, A-Level) is an advantage but not essential.
- Previous experience in social media, marketing, or content creation, and relevant education or training in media, communications, or a related field is required.
