We are a small group of 4* hotels based in South Wales and the South West of England. We have 3 hotels altogether based in Cardiff Bay, Bristol City Centre and Plymouth. All of our hotels offer large comfortable Canadian beds, conference and meetings centres and bespoke individual restaurant and bar areas. Our hotels offer a wide range of amenities to cater for both corporate and leisure guests; we have developed an excellent reputation within our locations boasting 4* hospitality at an affordable rate – our exceptional returning guest rate is testament to our staff and hotels.

Role:

We are currently looking for a Housekeeping Supervisor. You will be reporting directly to the Housekeeping Manager and have full responsibility when on shift for the day to day running of the housekeeping department. An ideal candidate must possess the ability to deliver the highest standards of cleanliness and be able to demonstrate a real passion for the industry. The candidate must be flexible and have a 'hands on' approach in a pressurised environment. We are looking for someone with experience of leading and motivating a team. You will demonstrate the ability to work within tight deadlines. Previous experience of working in a housekeeping department is essential and knowledge of opera is beneficial. As Housekeeping Supervisor you will need to lead by example, have excellent customer service skills and be able to lead team to success. The ideal candidate will already be an experienced hotel Housekeeper. You will be flexible, reliable, enthusiastic with a passion for hospitality and be able to work in a team and also independently. Our hotels and Conference Centre are busy establishments, therefore this is very much a hands on role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of housekeeping staff to ensure cleanliness and presentation standards are consistently maintained.
  • Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house areas to ensure compliance with company standards and health and safety regulations.
  • Allocate daily work assignments and monitor staff productivity and performance.
  • Train, coach, and support housekeeping team members to maintain high service standards.
  • Manage housekeeping inventories, including linens, guest supplies, cleaning chemicals, and equipment.
  • Report maintenance issues and coordinate with the maintenance department to ensure timely resolution.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and infection control procedures.
  • Handle guest requests, concerns, and complaints professionally and promptly.
  • Oversee and assist in laundry operations, including sorting, washing, drying, folding, and distribution of linen.
  • Support the housekeeping team during peak periods and assist with room cleaning duties when required.
