Requirements
- Proven experience as an Estimator, preferably in Construction/Manufacturing/etc.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and costs.
- Proficiency in estimating software (e.g., Bluebeam, ProEst, PlanSwift, Excel).
- Excellent math and analytical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Good communication and negotiation skills.
Responsibilities
- Review project plans, specifications, and related documents to determine scope of work.
- Prepare detailed cost estimates including materials, labor, equipment, subcontractor quotes, and time requirements.
- Obtain and evaluate quotes from suppliers and subcontractors.
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate scoping.
- Conduct risk assessments and provide value engineering options when applicable.
- Prepare and present cost estimate reports and proposals to management or clients.
- Maintain and update a database of pricing, historical costs, and vendor/supplier information.
- Assist with bid preparation and submission for tenders or proposals.
- Stay updated with market trends, pricing changes, and new materials or technologies.
