About the Role
We’re looking for a dynamic and motivated Planning Consultant (Planner) to join a growing consultancy team delivering a wide range of planning projects across both the public and private sectors. You’ll be involved in everything from initial strategy to securing planning permission for residential, commercial, industrial, and mixed-use developments. If you have a strong interest in town planning, are well-organised, solutions-focused, and client-oriented, this is a fantastic opportunity to take your career forward.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Providing planning consultancy and strategic advice to a diverse client base
- Conducting planning appraisals, managing pre-application discussions, and coordinating the preparation of planning applications
- Offering technical and procedural advice to add value and problem-solve
- Supporting public consultation strategies
- Liaising with clients, sub-consultants, public bodies, and internal teams
- Assisting in the financial management of projects including invoicing and budgeting
- Mentoring junior team members where appropriate

Requirements
- MRTPI or working towards chartership
- 2+ years of professional experience in town planning, ideally within a consultancy environment
- Experience working on a variety of planning application types (minor/major, residential/commercial) is desirable
- Strong client-facing skills and the ability to represent the consultancy with professionalism
