This is a full-time, on-site role based at our Head office in Leeds. We are looking for an experienced Credit Controller to join our busy Finance team. The ideal candidate would be a strong character with experience of managing in excess of £35m turnover annually. This would be a varied and rewarding role and a great opportunity to work with a proficient and dynamic team.

Qualifications
  • Previous experience in a Credit Controller role (5+ years).
  • Understanding of Duty / VAT (desirable).
  • Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Strong character with an attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment.
  • Knowledge of Cargo Wise Operating System or worked in a freight forwarding/logistics company would be a plus.
Key Responsibilities
  • Chasing customers for overdue accounts.
  • Chasing customers for duty and VAT invoices – liaising with operations to ensure the duty and VAT payments are received on time.
  • Monitor and maintain credit limits.
  • Ensure new customers provide the correct set up documentation.
  • Assess sales invoices/credit notes comparable to job, department, and company.
  • Send monthly statements to customers.
  • Evaluate performance and make suggestions to improve cashflows.
  • Audit accounts receivable operations to make sure invoices and receipts are properly coded.
  • Monthly debtor report review with the Finance Manager.
