A well-established main contractor with a strong pipeline of secured work is looking to bring in a Senior Estimator to support ongoing growth within their pre-construction team. This role will be based within the Pre-Construction team in the UK, supporting the preparation of tenders and cost plans for complex data centre and industrial construction projects.
You will play a key role within the pre-construction function, working closely with design teams, project leadership and the supply chain to develop competitive and technically accurate tender submissions. This is an excellent opportunity to work on large-scale technical projects while developing your career within a contractor delivering some of the most advanced engineering and construction developments across the UK and Europe.
Your role as a Senior Estimator will include:
- Taking ownership of tenders from initial enquiry through to final submission
- Site visits to identify site specific risks
- Risk management throughout the tender period and preparation of the tender Risk Register
- Producing detailed estimates across building packages and full project scope
- Working alongside design, commercial and delivery teams during pre-construction
- Contributing to value engineering and build strategy decisions
As a Senior Estimator, you will need:
- Proven experience in an Estimating role
- Track record pricing projects within a design and build environment
- Experience in industrial, pharma, logistics or similar sectors
- The ability to read and understand drawings and specifications, process design and contracts
- Commutable to Gerrards Cross 5x a week
