This is an opportunity for an engineer looking to join a company where staff longevity is valued, your work has a direct impact on the success of projects and there is a clear pathway from Project Engineer to Project Manager and ultimately Senior Project Manager.

Join a long-standing and highly established BMS and controls company, recognised as one of the biggest control companies in Ireland, with a sister company based in Manchester. You'll work alongside experienced Project Managers and CAD Engineers, giving you plenty of technical support while working on projects involving BMS, control panels, boilers, pumps, air conditioning and energy management systems. After 12 months, you'll also become eligible to participate in the company's Employee Ownership Trust (EOT), giving you the opportunity to benefit from the company's annual profits.

The role of the project engineer will include:

  • Managing approximately 12-13 projects at different stages
  • Liaising with clients and gathering project information
  • Managing project communications via email, Teams and telephone
  • Attending site meetings and customer meetings
  • Working closely with CAD Engineers throughout the project lifecycle
  • Reviewing and approving CAD designs before they are sent for manufacture
  • Coordinating control panel design, manufacture and installation
  • Supporting projects involving BMS, boilers, pumps, air conditioning and energy management
  • Ensuring projects are delivered on time and to customer requirements

The successful project engineer will have:

  • Previous experience in a Project Engineer, Project Manager or similar project-based role
  • Experience working on mechanical or electrical projects
  • Background in building services, construction, M&E or engineering
  • Alternatively, BMS experience with strong project management skills
  • Mechanical, electrical or multi-skilled engineering background
  • Comfortable communicating with clients and managing multiple projects
  • Able to work closely with CAD/design engineers
  • Electrical or Building Services qualifications advantageous but not essential
