Join an established main contractor delivering a major construction project in Somerset. This is an excellent opportunity for a Setting Out Engineer looking to take ownership of site engineering activities while developing their career on a technically challenging build.
Work closely with an experienced project team, supporting the accurate delivery of groundworks, foundations and structural packages. You'll join a business with a strong pipeline of work and opportunities to progress into senior engineering and project management positions.
Your Role as a Setting Out Engineer Will Include:
- Carrying out setting out and surveying duties across groundworks, foundations and structural works.
- Checking drawings, dimensions and levels to ensure works meet design specifications.
- Working closely with site management and subcontractors to resolve technical queries.
- Maintaining accurate survey records, as-built information and quality documentation.
As a Setting Out Engineer You Will Have:
- Experience as a Setting Out Engineer or Site Engineer on construction projects.
- Confidence using total stations, GPS equipment and levelling instruments.
- The ability to interpret engineering drawings and coordinate with site teams.
- A background in civil engineering or a related construction discipline.
- The ability to commute to a site near Bridgwater.
