Do you have a strong mechanical engineering background with some electrical knowledge and want to work on major data centre projects across the UK and Europe?

This global industrial technology business operates across electrical distribution, communications, networking and technical services, working with some of the biggest names in the data centre industry. They are continuing to expand their services offering across mechanical and electrical infrastructure, including high-density cooling, central plant, chillers and electrical distribution and looking for an Applications Engineer.

As an Applications Engineer, you will act as the technical link between customers, consultants and the sales team, helping develop technically feasible solutions and taking projects into the engineering cycle. You will receive manufacturer training and support towards recognised data centre qualifications, with the opportunity to make the role your own and progress quickly within a large international organisation.

Your role as an Applications Engineer You Will:

  • Act as the technical liaison between customers, consultants and sales teams.
  • Work with mechanical systems including cooling, heat exchangers and high-density data centre environments.
  • Use electrical knowledge to support solutions around central electrical distribution.
  • Provide customer-facing technical support.
  • Cover the EMEA region with some international travel.

As an Applications Engineer You Must:

  • Have a strong mechanical engineering background.
  • Have some electrical engineering knowledge.
  • Be technically competent and confident dealing with customers and consultants.
  • Have an understanding of data centre environments, high density cooling.
  • Be willing to travel internationally when required.
  • Live within a commutable distance of London.
