Head of Technical Kent £92,000 - £100,000 + Bonus + Car Allowance + Leading Package + Pension + Benefits + Training + Immediate Start Are you an experienced Head of Technical from a food manufacturing background looking for a senior leadership opportunity where you can take full ownership of Technical, Quality and Food Safety across multiple manufacturing sites? This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established and growing food manufacturing business, taking responsibility for technical operations across the UK, with a primary focus on their Kent manufacturing facility. This is a high-profile, multi-site leadership position where you'll work closely with the senior leadership team to drive technical excellence, improve standards and develop high-performing teams. As Head of Technical, you'll have the autonomy to shape technical strategy, implement best practices and ensure the highest standards of food safety, compliance and quality are maintained across the business. Your Role As A Head of Technical Will Include: Take full responsibility for the Technical, Quality and Food Safety functions across multiple UK manufacturing sites Lead technical operations at the primary Kent manufacturing facility, while overseeing and supporting additional sites Develop and implement a consistent technical strategy across the business Drive Food Safety, Quality Standards, Product Authenticity and continuous improvement Maintain and develop robust HACCP systems across all manufacturing operations Ensure the legality, safety, quality and integrity of all products manufactured Champion and embed a strong Food Safety and Quality Culture across multiple sites Maintain certification against key industry standards including BRCGS, BMPA and major retailer requirements Lead customer, third-party and regulatory audits Ensure consistent technical and quality standards across the wider manufacturing group Take ownership of food safety incidents, product recalls and withdrawals when required Lead, develop and mentor Technical Managers, Quality Managers and Hygiene teams Work closely with senior leadership to improve technical performance and support business growth As A Head of Technical You Will Have: Significant experience in a senior Technical Management or Head of Technical position within FMCG / Food Manufacturing Proven experience managing Technical and Quality functions across multiple manufacturing sites Strong experience leading BRCGS, retailer and customer audits Level 4 HACCP qualification - essential Excellent understanding of food safety legislation, quality management systems and regulator Keywords: Head Of Technical, Senior Manager, Technical Manager, Technical Director, Produce, FMCG, Food, Nuts, Fruit, Veg, Manufacturing, Kent, Sittingbourne, London, Essex, Surrey, Gillingham
