The prime responsibility of the role is to work with the Human Resources Business Partner / Recruitment Manager in ensuring the implementation of the human resources policy and procedure and to create a motivated and harmonious working climate for all personnel.
The role encompasses the need to build relationships and draw upon excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively cope with differing scenarios of personnel management. As the role has access to personnel information, the need to ascertain confidentiality and trust management is an absolute must.
What the role involves:
- Supportive in driving recruitment strategy and maintaining adequate levels of potential candidates for interview and selection.
- Provide an advisory, counselling and training service to management and all staff in matters relating to human resources management for the provision of good employee relations.
- Ensure adherence to the company human resource policy and procedure through effective control mechanisms and remedial action, i.e. disciplinary action, investigatory reviews, attrition.
- Conduct and review feedback received from exit interviews and devise with line manager appropriate course of action/enhancements as necessary.
- Review within the team the annual benefits provider offerings and make recommendations and suggestions to the HR Leader as appropriate.
- Establish and maintain a harmonious, motivated and effective working climate.
- Work both as an individual and member of the team in delivering communication strategy for the group and ensure all new initiatives are rolled out in a timely manner inclusive of HR annual events.
- Ensure that all personnel within the department are apprised of updates relating to personnel, daily work and projects alike.
- Support the HR Leader in the more complex areas of HR Strategy.
