Role summary

FPGA Field Application Engineer (gFAE) – UK / EMEA. The role is to join Future Electronics\’ FPGA team in the UK as a Generalist Field Applications Engineer, providing applications and design solutions to customers across multiple market segments. You will gain exposure to and work with the portfolio of the world’s top semiconductor manufacturers that offer cutting-edge technology solutions, and you will be mentored during intensive training.

What the role involves

As a Field Application Engineer (FAE) we will expose and train you on the portfolio of the world\\u2019s top semiconductor manufacturers that offer cutting edge technology solutions. You will work with and recommend engineering solutions to original equipment manufacturers across your market segments including automotive, industrial, military, commercial, medical, solid-state lighting and many others.

Responsibilities

The prime responsibility of a Generalist Field Applications Engineer (gFAE) is to provide Applications and Design Solutions to the Company’s customer base, utilising previous design and product knowledge gained through education, experience as well as training seminars held by the Manufacturers for which the Company is franchised.

Qualifications

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Finnish.
  • Degree in Electronics Engineering.
  • Minimum of five years design experience either in the field or with an electronics company.
  • Ability to multitask, prioritise and work under pressure.
  • Proactive and results-driven approach.
  • Exceptional problem-solving skills.
  • Passionate about helping other engineers bring successful projects to market.
