What the role involves

The Marketing Analyst will be responsible for supporting the Business Units in the development and analysis of reports and tools to improve productivity.

In the role the Analyst will also assist the Business Units in the maintenance of key business functions such as cost book upload, updating pricing matrices and facilitating customer price adjustments.

A key requisite of the role will be the ability to multi-task and utilise existing networks and relationships with both internal and potentially external customers / suppliers to support the productivity of the marketing department and the company.

This will require an effective communicator who can relate to the output required and present information in a cohesive format which can be effectively deployed.

Principle Accountabilities

  • Create and manage pricing tools which help facilitate efficiencies in Business Unit (BU) quote turnaround.
  • Manage supplier cost books including system updates and relevant customer open order reviews.
  • Update price curves with guidance from the BU and conduct quarterly sales history/order book analysis to check conversion rates.
  • Manage supplier price increase implementation on customer back orders including monitoring of customer acceptance and potential liability risk.
  • Analyse BU quote conversion and deliver analysis to BU director outlining trends and potential areas to address.
  • Assist the Business Unit in compiling any mass part create templates and uploading through the system.
  • Support the Marketing and Asset team in supplier price negotiations by compiling relevant data prior to and after negotiations.
  • Initiate, prepare and complete budgets and forecasts ensuring the format is flexible to react to market / management changes to aid business planning.
  • Through use of the trackers facilitate the quote follow up process for new business opportunities (NBOs)
  • Analyse demand creation backlog to produce a report which assesses the margin levels are in line with supplier design margin parameters.
  • Evaluate process management such as Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s); Rejects activity; BIDs process; Price curve and provide feedback to BU’s.
  • Work with BU’s on developing databases and relevant sales tools to allow BU management to have a better understanding of trends to identify relevant operations efficiencies both BU and business lead (e. g. ten drop order schedule migrate to one drop).
  • Create periodic and ad-hoc reports to assess the performance of marketing business areas and promotions to support effective resource focus.
  • Take the initiative to create and draft reports or tools which could assist with business decisions and execution.

Do you have

  • Ideally educated to degree level having worked within a business environment.
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Access and Excel – elevated l evel of accuracy of work and presentation
  • Excellent interpersonal and listening skills. Confident at communication.
  • Able to multitask, time manage and subsequently prepare reports and data as required by others.
  • Able to think and act on own initiative.
