Job Outline:
The Commercial Data Co-ordinator is responsible for maintaining accurate and up-to-date supplier cost and product information across the organisation's commercial systems. By ensuring pricing, lead times, minimum order quantities, product attributes and other key data are current, the role enables Sales, Marketing and Purchasing teams to provide customers with accurate quotations, realistic delivery commitments and reliable product information.
Working closely with Product Marketing, Marketing Analysts, Purchasing and Global teams, the role plays an important part in maintaining data quality and consistency across multiple business systems, helping to reduce errors, improve operational efficiency and support informed commercial decision making.
What the role involves:
- Maintain supplier costbooks by converting supplier pricing data into the required system formats and uploading it into business systems to ensure current cost information is available for quoting, purchasing and inventory management.
- Ensure priority supplier costbooks within the Demand Creation Hub to support business development and sales activity are kept updated and accurate.
- Update and maintain product master data including lead times, minimum order quantities (MOQs), product classifications, design registration flags and other key product attributes, ensuring information remains accurate and aligned with supplier and global requirements.
- Manage weekly global data updates and implement approved changes to ensure consistency of product and commercial information across regional and global systems.
- Process ad hoc requests for product and commercial data updates, ensuring changes are completed accurately and within agreed timescales.
- Work closely with Product Marketing, Marketing Analysts, Purchasing and Global teams to resolve data queries, validate information and maintain high standards of data integrity.
- Identify data discrepancies or inconsistencies and take appropriate action to investigate, correct and prevent future issues, contributing to the continuous improvement of data quality.
- Ensure supplier cost and product information is maintained in accordance with established processes, business standards and system governance requirements.
Do you have:
- Experience working with large data sets, maintaining data accuracy and processing information across multiple business systems.
- Strong Microsoft Excel skills, including the use of filters, formulas, lookups and other functions to manipulate, validate and analyse data.
- Exceptional attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high levels of data accuracy and quality.
- A logical, methodical and analytical approach to investigating data issues and maintaining data integrity.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues across multiple departments and locations
- Highly organised and self-motivated, with the ability to prioritise work, identify issues proactively and continuously improve process
