Job Outline
As the senior finance leader for EMEA, the position partners closely with Sales, Operations, regional leadership teams, and Corporate Headquarters to provide financial insight, challenge, and decision support within a well-controlled and compliant environment.
The individual requires the ability to balance multiple priorities simultaneously, drive continuous improvement in financial processes and systems, and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
Given its high level of responsibility and visibility, the position demands exceptional leadership, communication, negotiation, and relationship-management skills, together with a comprehensive understanding of financial systems, controls, and business operations.
The postholder will play a key role in shaping the financial performance and strategic direction of the EMEA business.
What the role involves
As the EMEA Finance leader, you will take ownership of financial control, governance, and business performance across the region. Key responsibilities include:
- Leading all accounting, financial reporting, and close activities across EMEA, ensuring compliance with IFRS, local statutory requirements, and Group policies.
- Providing robust financial governance through strong internal controls, risk management, audit oversight, tax compliance, and transfer pricing management.
- Managing treasury activities, including cash flow, working capital, banking relationships, liquidity, and foreign exchange exposure.
- Driving the annual budget, forecasting, and financial planning processes to support strategic decision-making and business growth.
- Championing finance transformation initiatives, enhancing financial systems, reporting capabilities, automation, and process efficiency.
- Delivering insightful financial analysis and commercial guidance to improve profitability, support investment decisions, and drive business performance.
- Building, leading, and developing a high-performing EMEA finance team, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and talent development.
- Acting as a trusted business partner to the EMEA leadership team and Group CFO, providing clear visibility of financial performance, risks, opportunities, and strategic priorities.
Do you have
- Qualifications as an accountant (ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA, or equivalent) with a degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proven senior finance leadership experience within a multinational environment.
- Strong knowledge of IFRS, statutory reporting, tax, financial controls, and compliance.
- Track record of developing high-performing teams and partnering with senior stakeholders.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills; additional European language skills or Mandarin would be advantageous.
