Job Outline
The prime responsibility of the Resistors and Capacitors Business Development Manager (BDM) is to drive Future’s success across this portfolio in EMEA. The role requires a deep understanding of the technologies within this space and acting as a subject‑matter expert to accelerate growth.
Commercial acumen, strong negotiation skills, and the ability to develop and execute a business plan for specific technologies, suppliers, and customers—including sales growth programs through demand creation—are fundamental.
This requires a comprehensive understanding of the direction and requirements of the EMEA organisation to generate profitable sales and demand‑creation growth.
The role involves understanding supplier product offerings, positioning them both technically and commercially, and accelerating adoption of the newest technology available to our customer base through Future.
A strong customer‑service ethic and the capacity to provide commercial and technical assistance enable a sustained business engagement strategy. The position is active, with significant customer‑facing visits to position supplier technologies across EMEA.
What the role involves
- Support the Demand Creation (CRM) activity for Resistors and Capacitors technologies with technical resources and review processes to ensure demand‑creation metrics are achieved.
- Drive activities related to this technology within the dedicated customer base.
- Launch key supplier NPI’s for products in the magnetic portfolio to market.
- Provide commercial and technical assistance to the sales organisation as needed.
- Develop, execute, and measure strategic customer‑driven programmes.
- Replicate success where we have significant wins in similar applications.
- Create collateral and tools to enable success of the passive electromechanical portfolio in the field.
- Establish, develop, and maintain successful relationships with suppliers.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and technical teams to ensure cohesive customer and supplier strategies.
- Appreciate supplier needs and objectives strategically and tactically.
- Fully understand each supplier’s product portfolio relevant to customer applications and position with sales and technical teams.
- Take responsibility for training the marketing and technical teams in the region.
