Job Title: SEN Learning Support Assistant New Malden, United Kingdom We are currently recruiting for a leading Special Educational Needs (SEN) College in New Malden dedicated to providing exceptional support and education to students with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD) and complex needs. The College are seeking an experienced SEN Learning Support Assistant to start as soon as possible. This is a full-time, long term position with a view to going permanent. The hours are from 8.45am-4.30pm. The daily rate of pay will be between £92 – £97 depending on skills and experience. As a SEN Learning Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing support to students with PMLD and complex needs, helping them to overcome barriers and achieve their learning goals. The College are also offering free training to all staff including Team Teach and manual handling training! Key Responsibilities will include: Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with PMLD and complex needs. Support students with personal care needs, including feeding, toileting, and mobility. Liaising with the class Teacher to make sure students understand the lesson objectives Collaborate with Teachers, therapists, and other professionals to deliver holistic support. Encourage student engagement and participation in various activities. Qualifications: A genuine passion for working with individuals with special educational needs, particularly PMLD and complex needs. Relevant experience in a similar role, ideally within an educational setting. Knowledge of PMLD and strategies for supporting students with complex needs.
