A thriving and innovative Alternative Provision setting in the London Borough of Greenwich is seeking a dedicated and experienced SEMH Maths Teacher / Teacher of Maths or SEMH Teacher. This is a full-time and ongoing position to start immediately.

The successful teacher must have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). This Monday to Friday position involves teaching Maths to students with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) needs and Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), focusing on Key Stage 3 (KS3) up to GCSE level.

The successful Maths Teacher / Teacher of Maths or SEMH Teacher will be responsible for:

  • Delivering high-quality teaching and learning to small classes
  • Managing challenging behaviours
  • Supporting the individual educational needs of each student

Class sizes are small, typically up to 6 children per class, and you will be supported by a minimum of 3 1:1 Behaviour TAs in class.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential
  • Proven experience teaching the UK Curriculum - Maths at KS3 up to GCSE level
  • Experience in either an Alternative Provision or SEMH School / PRU / Mainstream Secondary School
  • Experience working with students with SEMH and ASD in an educational setting
