Job Title: 1:1 Outreach Behaviour Support Assistant in a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) Location: London Borough of Greenwich Contract Type: Ongoing long term Contract Daily Rate: £85 – £100 a day (depending on experience) Hours: Full-time, Monday to Friday 8:20am – 4pm Innovative & thriving Pupil Referral Unit in the London Borough of Greenwich is seeking a dedicated and experienced 1:1 Outreach Behaviour Support Assistant to support male student diagnosed with ADHD , SEMH & Behaviour difficulties at KS4. Monday to Friday ongoing position to start straight away. This role involves working directly with one student who require additional behavioural support to achieve their full potential in an educational setting. The successful 1:1 Outreach Behaviour Support Assistant will work closely with teachers, parent/ guardians, and other professionals to implement individualised behaviour intervention plans. The student has been out of education for a year and the PRU is supporting in order to gradually help the student reintegrate back into Education full time. This is an outreach position so you will meet the student outside of the PRU as well as within the classroom as an Outreach Behaviour Support Assistant. • You have a proven track record of supporting children with challenging behaviours within the classroom and on an outreach basis. • Have worked as either a Behaviour Support Assistant OR Youth Worker / Child Residential Support Worker / Teaching Assistant / SEN Teaching Assistant / Behaviour Mentor • Provide 1:1 support to student with behavioural challenges in & outside the school setting. • Develop and implement effective behaviour intervention plans tailored to students needs. • Monitor and record student progress and behaviour, maintaining accurate and detailed records. • Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and external professionals to support the student’s educational and behavioural goals. • Employ a variety of behaviour management techniques and strategies to promote positive behaviours. • Assist in the development of social skills, coping mechanisms, and problem-solving abilities. • Provide crisis intervention and support during behavioural incidents, ensuring the safety of your students. • Participate in regular team meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities. • Maintain confidentiality and uphold the highest standards of professional conduct. • Enhanced DBS or able to pay for a new one ASAP • Easy Commutable distance to the London Borough of Greenwich.
