Main duties and responsibilities
Future Directions CIC are looking for Personal Assistants/Support Workers to join our teams across the North of England. We have amazing opportunities for person-centred individuals who enjoy going the extra mile with Personal Assistant/Support Worker vacancies across the North of England. Our aim is to help, support and create meaningful lives for the people we support, and we need your help to achieve this.
No Experience Required. Full training plan provided
We are seeking hardworking experienced or non-experienced, values driven people, to provide the best support to the people we support, so that they can live great lives!
Where you will work
There are lots of amazing people we support throughout the North of England. The people we support have a range of disabilities across our services/homes, which can range from complex to minor. Some of the people we support will require hands on support, and other support could be minimal. We always have the same goal, which is to provide the best person centred care possible, to make all of the people we support feel safe, supported and happy.
Within some of our services, manual handling may be a requirement; however all training will be provided in order to carry this out safely and professionally.
What the people we support like to do
The brilliant people we support love nothing more than a good chat with friends, a board game or two, a trip to the cinema and a pub lunch. We do support lots of creative people, and the people we support love to get involved with anything arts and crafts related.
The people we support are quite diverse with lots of different hobbies and activities, which our people we support get involved in. We want our successful Personal Assistants/Support Workers to continue supporting and encouraging the people we support to try new things, learn, and get involved in as much as possible.
This active role will also require successful candidates to help and support with personal care duties, household chores and meal preparation. A good sense of humour is essential for this role as the people we support will keep you on your toes and always try to amuse you. The successful candidate must be willing to use public transport, have clear communication and have the ability to adapting changing health needs.
Shifts will include; Early Mornings, Late Evenings, Sleep in Shifts and Waking Nights shifts (Sleep in and Waking Night Enhancements).
Please note that all successful applicants must be fully flexible to do all required shifts.
An Enhanced DBS will also be a requirement and all successful candidates will have had all COVID-19 Vaccinations, unless exempt.

Interviews to be arranged at a later date:
All successful candidates will be required to complete a full induction, which will take place in Chadderton, Oldham (OL9). This is a nine-day induction (over three weeks) and we require all successful applicants to attend all days.
