Our Services

Our Services in Stockport are home to the lots of amazing people we support! The people we support have a range of disabilities across our services/homes, which can range from complex to minor. Some of the people we support will require hands on support, and other support could be minimal. However, we always have the same goal, which is to provide the best person centred care possible, to make all of the people we support feel safe, supported and happy.

Within some of our services, manual handling may be a requirement, however all training will be provided in order to carry this out safely and professionally. Our Stcokport serviceshave a diverse range of needs, where certain equipment will be necessary to provide the require support.

What our people we support like to do

Our brilliant people we support amongst our Stockport Services love nothing more than a good chat with friends, a board game or two, a trip to the cinema and a meal out at a fancy restaurant. We do have quite a few keen bakers too, who enjoy baking a nice treat!

Our Stockport Services are quite diverse with lots of different hobbies and activities, which our people we support get involved in. We want our successful Personal Assistant\’/Support Worker\’s to continue supporting and encouraging the people we support to try new things, learn, and get involved in as much as possible.

A good sense of humour is essential for this role as the people we support will keep you on your toes and always try to amuse you. The successful candidate must be willing to use public transport, have clear communication and have the ability to adapting changing health needs.

The ideal candidate will be fully flexible so we can continue to support our people around the clock. Providing the best possible support for our people is a priority for us at Future Directions CIC, and we need to maintain that their needs are met.

PLEASE NOTE: There is a genuine occupational reequipment as to why female drivers are required.

_ We encourage people without previous care experience as we are looking for people that match our values rather than past experience. _

_All successful candidates will be required to complete a full induction, which will take place in Chadderton, Oldham (OL9). This is a 9 day induction and we require all successful applicants to attend all days. _
