Location: Harrow (onsite) and/or Online (remote delivery)
Pay: Hourly rate between £12.85 and £16.50 per hour depending on experience
Overview: We are looking for an experienced and confident Cyber Security Trainer to deliver practical, learner-focused training. You will teach key cyber security concepts and employability-focused skills through interactive sessions, examples, and guided labs. Delivery will be from our Harrow venue and/or online depending on cohort requirements. This is an hourly role, ideal for trainers with strong cyber security knowledge and the ability to support learners at different levels.
Responsibilities
- Training Delivery
- Deliver structured cyber security sessions aligned to agreed learning outcomes
- Plan lessons and learning materials to suit different learner levels
- Deliver engaging training through demonstrations, activities, and practical exercises
- Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Adapt delivery for learners who are new to IT and cyber security
- Support learners with coursework/assignments (where applicable)
- Monitor learner progress and provide guidance and feedback
- Offer 1-to-1 support sessions when required to help learners stay on track
- Maintain registers, progress records, and learner feedback notes
- Support programme outcomes such as achievement and progression
- Follow organisational policies including safeguarding, Prevent, equality & diversity, and GDPR

Essential Requirements
- Strong working knowledge of Cyber Security (industry or training experience)
- Confident delivering sessions to groups onsite in Harrow and/or online
- Excellent communication skills and ability to explain technical topics clearly
- Ability to motivate learners and manage a classroom/virtual cohort
- Organised approach to documentation and learner tracking
Desirable (Not Mandatory)
- Any teaching/training qualification (e.g., AET/PTLLS)
- Assessor qualification (CAVA/TAQA) or experience assessing learner work
- Cyber security certifications (e.g., Security+, Network+, CySA+, CEH, CCNA, Microsoft security)
- Experience delivering adult skills, employability programmes, or funded training
- Familiarity with LMS/e-portfolio platforms
