About the Role

As a Senior Support Worker, you will play an essential role in supporting the day-to-day running of the home and leading by example in delivering high-quality, therapeutic and child-focused care. Working closely with the Deputy Manager and Registered Manager, you will guide and mentor Support Workers, promote best practice, and ensure that young people are cared for in a safe, nurturing and structured environment. This role is ideal for someone who wants to progress in their career and develop into future leadership roles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide high-quality, consistent care in line with individual care plans, risk assessments and regulatory standards.
  • Lead shifts effectively, ensuring routines, structure and safeguarding responsibilities are maintained.
  • Support the management team with daily operations, casework, documentation and multi-agency communication.
  • Act as a positive role model, mentoring Support Workers and contributing to their development.
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with young people, supporting.
