Role Description

This full-time, on-site Driver / Trade Counter Assistant role is based in Wallasey. The position involves safely operating company trucks to deliver building plastics products to customers and job sites, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries. When working on the trade counter, the role includes greeting customers, handling inquiries, processing orders, and assisting with product selection. Daily tasks also include loading and unloading vehicles, checking delivery paperwork, maintaining a clean and organized warehouse and trade counter area, and collaborating with colleagues to support efficient operations. The role requires a strong customer focus, adherence to safety procedures, and flexibility to support both driving and trade counter duties as needed.

Qualifications

• UK driving licence - proferably clean




• Ability to safely operate and maneuver van in various environments, including urban and site locations.




• Strong Communication skills to interact clearly with colleagues, customers, and suppliers.




• Excellent Customer Service skills to provide helpful, courteous support at the trade counter and during deliveries.




• Basic numeracy and computer skills for processing orders, invoices, and delivery documentation.




• Good physical fitness and ability to lift, move, and handle building products safely.




• Reliable time management, attention to detail, and adherence to health and safety regulations.




• Previous experience in building materials, construction, or trade counter environments is beneficial but not essential.




• Valid right to work in the UK and a clean driving record.
