Job Description
Job Title: Senior Estimator – Dry Lining & Interiors
Location: London & Essex (Office-based with Hybrid Working)
Salary: Up to £85,000 + Package (DOE)
We are working in partnership with a leading dry lining and interiors contractor to recruit an experienced Senior Estimator. With an excellent industry reputation, our client delivers high‑quality dry lining and plastering packages across commercial and residential projects throughout London and the South East.
This is a key appointment within the commercial team, offering the opportunity to take full ownership of the estimating function—from initial enquiry through to final tender submission. You will work closely with company directors, project managers, and supply chain partners, playing a pivotal role in securing future work and supporting the continued growth of the business.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed and accurate cost estimates for dry lining, SFS, ceilings, and associated interior packages
- Analyse drawings, specifications, and tender documentation
- Undertake take-offs and build-up rates from first principles
- Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing
- Identify risks, opportunities, and value engineering options
- Attend pre‑tender meetings and contribute to bid strategy
- Support handover to the delivery team following contract award
- Maintain estimating databases, cost benchmarks, and internal pricing structures
About You:
- Proven experience as a Senior Estimator (or strong Estimator ready to step up) within dry lining or interiors
- Strong technical knowledge of dry lining systems, partitions, SFS, and ceilings
- Excellent commercial awareness and attention to detail
- Confident user of estimating software and Excel
- Ability to manage multiple tenders simultaneously and work to deadlines
- Strong communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
