We’re working with a well-established and growing construction contractor to appoint an experienced Commercial Manager to support major social housing refurbishment projects across their regional portfolio covering the Midlands and North.
This is a key leadership role overseeing the full commercial lifecycle — from tender stage through to final account — ensuring projects are delivered profitably, compliantly, and with strong client relationships.
You’ll take ownership of all commercial aspects of multiple projects, working closely with operational, finance, and senior leadership teams to drive performance and maximise value.
Key Responsibilities- Manage project budgets, cash flow forecasting, cost reporting, and CVRs
- Oversee contract management including variations, claims, and dispute resolution
- Lead commercial input into tendering, pricing strategy, and procurement
- Act as the key commercial contact for clients and external stakeholders
- Support risk management and contractual compliance across projects
- Mentor and develop commercial team members
- Proven experience as a Commercial Manager or Senior Quantity Surveyor within construction
- Background in social housing refurbishment or similar frameworks preferred
- Strong commercial and contractual knowledge
- Confident stakeholder management and leadership skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
- Salary up to £110,000 + package
