Salary: Up to £70,000 + Commission + Package

Future Build Recruitment are currently working with a specialist glazing contractor based in Guildford who are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. This is a hybrid role offering the opportunity to work across a range of high-profile glazing and façade projects while enjoying flexibility in your working week. Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and manage project budgets, valuations, and cost plans throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct accurate measurement and take-offs related to glazing and façade systems.
  • Analyse tender documentation and support in the preparation of competitive bids.
  • Procure and manage subcontractor packages and supply chain performance.
  • Monitor financial performance and project progress, providing regular commercial reporting to senior stakeholders.
  • Handle variations, change orders, and manage final accounts to close out projects efficiently.
  • Ensure all work complies with contractual obligations and commercial best practices.
  • Assist in risk management and value engineering to optimise project delivery.

Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the glazing, cladding, or façade industry.
  • Sound understanding of JCT and NEC contracts.
  • Strong numerical, analytical, and negotiation abilities.
  • Proficiency in cost management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
