Job Title: Estimating Manager

Location: Essex (Hybrid)

Salary: Up to £90,000 + package

We are seeking an experienced Estimating Managerto join our client, a leading facade specialist. This is a senior role requiring a strong leader with exceptional attention to detail and expertise in cost estimation for facade-related projects. The successful candidate will play a crucial part in managing the estimating team, ensuring efficient workflows, accurate tender submissions, and maintaining strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership & Team Management: Lead, mentor, and develop the estimating team, fostering a culture of collaboration and excellence. Ensure workflows are efficient, bid submissions are accurate, and company standards are upheld.
• Cost Estimation & Analysis: Prepare detailed cost estimates for facade-related projects, covering materials, labour, and overheads. Analyse architectural drawings, project specifications, and other documents to determine project requirements and scope.
• Tender Management: Oversee the preparation of tender submissions for facade contracts, ensuring all relevant costs and contingencies are accounted for.
• Client & Stakeholder Interaction: Engage with clients, designers, and engineers during the estimation process to understand project objectives. Provide expert advice on cost-effective and innovative solutions.
• Risk Management: Identify and assess risks related to each project, including financial, technical, and operational factors. Implement measures to mitigate identified risks.
• Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all estimate files, including breakdowns, quotations, and correspondence.

Candidate Profile:

• Experience: Proven track record in cost estimation, tender management, and team leadership within the facade or construction sector.
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of facade systems, materials, and project requirements.
• Skills: Exceptional organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Leadership: Demonstrated ability to lead and mentor teams effectively.
