Location: Lincoln or Norfolk
A leading Tier 1 Civil Engineering Contractor is looking to appoint a Design Manager to support the delivery of major water infrastructure projects across Lincolnshire and Norfolk.
The role will focus on managing design activities across wastewater treatment and associated infrastructure schemes, ensuring engineering solutions meet technical requirements, programme deadlines, budget and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Overseeing design reviews and ensuring engineering deliverables meet project specifications and standards.
- Managing design changes, coordinating technical queries and resolving issues throughout the design and construction stages.
- Liaising with clients, consultants and project teams to ensure design requirements are understood and delivered.
- Monitoring design progress and maintaining quality standards, promoting a right-first-time approach.
- Ensuring compliance with CDM regulations and overseeing design-related health and safety risks.
Requirements
- A degree or equivalent qualification in engineering, or relevant industry experience.
- Proven experience managing design activities on complex civil engineering or infrastructure projects.
- Strong organisational, planning and stakeholder management skills.
- Good understanding of design assurance, quality management and CDM regulations.
- Familiarity with design software such as AutoCAD, Revit or BIM.
