Independent End-Point Assessors (IEPAs) ensure Level 6 Enhanced Clinical Practitioner apprentices meet industry standards. Acting on behalf of FutureQuals, you will apply your clinical expertise, uphold assessment quality, and support the integrity of the apprenticeship system. This role is on a freelance basis, with assessments conducted remotely. Accept or reject assessment allocations around your schedule.
Main duties of the job:
- Conduct Apprenticeship Assessments (formally known as End Point Assessment or EPA).
- Make fair, consistent, unbiased assessment judgments.
- Record and report assessment outcomes accurately and on time.
- Provide clear, technically informed feedback when required.
- Take part in induction, training, and standardisation activities.
- Identify and report risks, conflicts of interest, or suspected malpractice.
- Apply all FutureQuals EPA policies, procedures, and quality requirements.
- Deliver assessments professionally, impartially, and with a learner-centred approach.
Location: Must have reliable internet and a suitable professional environment for virtual assessment delivery.
Person Specification:
Experience:
- Relevant Level 6+ occupational qualification aligned to the standard.
- Registration with a statutory healthcare regulator.
- Recent (within 2 years) or substantial prior clinical experience relevant to the standard.
- Experience in assessment, supervision, training, or quality assurance in a regulated setting.
- Understanding of competency-based assessment.
Knowledge & Competence:
- Ability to make consistent, independent grading decisions.
- Evidence of ongoing CPD and keeping practice/knowledge current.
