The predicted salary is between 42000 - 60000 £ per year.

We are a growing multi-site organisation delivering wraparound childcare (including EYFS) and apprenticeships & training provision. With over 30 settings and continued expansion, we are recruiting a senior compliance professional to lead Ofsted childcare inspections and quality assurance and support on Ofsted readiness on our apprenticeships and training provision. This is a leadership role focused on assurance, improvement, and inspection confidence— not administration.

Key responsibilities

  • Lead and support Ofsted childcare inspections
  • Carry out termly compliance and quality audits across multiple settings
  • Develop and monitor site-level Quality Improvement Plans (QIPs) following audits and inspections
  • Support managers and staff development to improve practice and confidence
  • Provide assurance and audit oversight of staff qualifications, training, DBS and safer recruitment (records maintained centrally)
  • Maintain inspection-ready evidence packs for childcare and training provision
  • Support Ofsted readiness administration for apprenticeship and training provision
  • Take part in setting appraisals and performance reviews with the Operations team
  • Track actions, risks, and improvements and report to senior leadership

Requirements

  • Proven experience leading Ofsted childcare inspections
  • Strong knowledge of EYFS, Compulsory Childcare register, safeguarding, and Ofsted expectations
  • Experience auditing or quality-assuring childcare or education provision
  • Confident supporting and challenging managers / practitioners to improve practice
  • Highly organised, detail-focused, and credible
  • willingness to travel regularly between sites (based across Beds, Bucks, Herts, Oxford, Northants)
  • DSL qualification or safeguarding leadership experience
  • Experience supporting Ofsted inspections in training/apprenticeships
