Purpose of the Role

Barclay Academy seeks to appoint an inspirational Teacher of English who is confident in their subject area, with the vision and drive to motivate and enthuse students. The Teacher will deliver lessons across KS3 and KS4, with opportunity to deliver A-level. The Mathematics Department is a collaborative and experienced team dedicated to embedding an academically rigorous curriculum and assessment model across key stages. Barclay Academy was recently graded Good overall by Ofsted, with Outstanding for Leadership and Management, as well as Personal Development. The Academy continually develops an academic culture where the highest standards are expected of students and staff.

Applications are welcomed from ECTs and those offering more experience. The Academy provides comprehensive ongoing training and support. Staff early in their careers are particularly well supported. An Enhanced Disclosure, Barring Service check and an Online Check are required for this post.
