Your Role in Building Brighter Futures

As a Casual Exam Invigilator at Chilton Trinity School, you will play a key role in contributing to the delivery of Futura’s mission statement of “Building the brightest future for all, enabling every individual to flourish”. We are looking for an individual who is passionate about living our values and making a positive impact on all the young people in our Trust. Chilton Trinity School is proud to be a thriving 11-16 co-educational school servicing the community of Bridgwater and the surrounding areas.

Purpose of the role of an Exam Invigilator:

To assist the Examinations Officer in the smooth and efficient administration of examinations, including pupil invigilation; management of rooms, facilities and equipment; the despatching of completed scripts and perform such other duties which will allow for the smooth running of examinations. There are between 900 to 1000 students on role aged 11 to 16. With external and school-based exams there is an all year-round cycle. The Examinations Officer is responsible for the recruitment, training and deployment of up to 30 exam invigilators as required to meet the exam regulations. The hours will be variable by agreement to support the school during examination periods.

What You’ll Bring to Futura:

  • Have a good standard of education (minimum 5 A* - C or 9-4, including English and Maths, or equivalent)
  • Have good organisational and time management skills
  • Can invigilate for several hours at a time, if required
  • Can patrol the examination room on a regular basis and to stand for short periods of time. This is necessary to monitor the conduct of students.
  • Can adapt and be flexible
  • Can be available between 0800 and 1700, details are given in advance
