Saltford CofE Primary School is seeking an enthusiastic Playworker to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to provide care, guidance and support for our children during the lunch break and make a meaningful difference to the lives of our pupils.
About the role
This role requires someone who will promote and support a range of active play opportunities. Also, someone who will ably assist in the preparation, serving and clearing up of refreshments with due regard to health & safety in food preparation and an awareness of the school’s healthy school status and policy. The person will need to work collaboratively and respond sensitively and confidently to the needs of the children. Most of all they will need to maintain a positive attitude and enjoy being with children … even at wet playtimes!
About You
- Proficiency in literacy and numeracy (GCSE level or equivalent).
- NVQ2 in Playwork or Early Years Care & Education (or equivalent experience).
- Experience working with children in a school or related environment.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team.
- Good communication, administration, and organizational skills.
- Empathetic, approachable, and positive attitude towards children.
