Our OEM Client based in Gaydon is searching for Data Analytics - Software and Systems Defects to join their team, Inside IR35. This is a contract position with a proposed end date of 31st March 2027. Umbrella Pay Rate: £33.64 per hour.

Duties:

  • This role is focused on ensuring the integrity, consistency and usability of software and systems defect data across all areas of the business.
  • The defects are created and managed in JIRA and visualised in Tableau.
  • This role bridges the gap between the testing engineers, the defect resolution engineers and the releasing teams by analysing the complex datasets, resolving tooling issues, and preparing high-quality data for decision-making and reporting.

Essential Skills, Knowledge and Experience Required:

  • Ability to support project planning with data-driven insights.
  • Ability to create transparent weekly Senior-Management Reporting.
  • Ability to interact with key engineering stakeholders to ensure metrics are aligned and correct.
  • Ability to interpret the data to determine the key messages that should be shared.
  • Ability to ensure data integrity is maintained, by monitoring tickets for common errors.
  • Ability to coach other users with the best practice on defect tooling, data consistency and cleanliness.
