Our OEM Client based in Gaydon is searching for a System Integration Lead Engineer to join their team for an IR35 contract position.
Pay Rate: Umbrella Pay Rate: ÂŁ33.64 per hour.
Team: The Central Systems Integration Team are accountable for the integration of all customer features and functions into our customer products. The team ensures seamless crossâfunctional working to execute all phases of feature, system and software delivery â from design requirements and specifications to network design finalisation and test case execution, introducing features and software into the target electrical architecture(s) in a planned and controlled way.
Role: The System Integration Lead Engineer is accountable for the maturation and delivery of customer features into current and future vehicle programmes to signâoff level in line with programme gateways. Working across business functions, the engineer coordinates delivery steps to integrate features into vehicles and test assets, spots threats, removes roadblocks and resolves crossâfunctional disconnects to allow the overall plan to succeed. The engineer maintains the Mainline Integration Plan (MIP) within the JIRA toolset, coordinates inputs and produces the weekly consolidated Integration Report, presented via biâweekly Showcases to company leadership and senior stakeholders to provide full visibility of feature and function availability and maturity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage bringâup of feature and systems on test assets.
- Support the Technical Group Lead in delivery of integrated software to vehicle programmes.
- Participate and lead crossâfunctional teams to solve complex integration problems (timing and technical).
Key Skills:
- Thorough understanding of the Systems Design Life Cycle â system definition, architecture development, requirements specification, design reviews, systems integration, assessment and acceptance.
- Excellent technical project management skills, with ability to deliver complex mechatronic systems at a whole vehicle integration level.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, able to collaboratively influence delivery teams across the engineering function.
- Understanding and experience of using CANalyser, Wireshark, diagnostic tools etc.
- Experience of engineering product delivery using project management techniques.
- Experience of programme and project delivery processes under Agile methodology and JIRA.
- Experience in the integration and delivery of electrical, electromechanical or software systems.
Education: Preferably degree level.
