Our OEM Client based in Gaydon is searching for a Battery Diagnostic Engineer to join their team, Inside IR35. This is a contract position with a proposed end date of 31st March 2027. Umbrella Pay Rate: £27.03 per hour.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
- The Battery Diagnostic Engineer role will focus on the delivery of JLR's HV Traction battery testing across the JLR fleet, alongside delivering automation tools in support of the development and design verification (DV) of such systems.
- You will operate across our internal facilities and external test houses solving complex problems, supporting DV engineers, reviewing RFQ's before tender ensuring the information is correct, managing automation tools, leading the development of these tools and guiding our colleagues and partners on their use, ensuring adherence to safety policies and procedures and planning for future test capabilities, requirements and applications.
- You'll have responsibility for providing the first line trouble shooting and diagnostic support for all automation tools and issue management across our battery test field.
- You'll be working with a wide range of engineering customers, skilled test facility operators, suppliers, external agencies and organisations.
- You'll have responsibility for providing tools and analysing issues across the field to ensure minimal downtime and maximum test efficiency.
