Our OEM Client based in Gaydon is searching for a Mechatronics Systems Engineer to join their team, Inside IR35. This is a 12-month contract position initially until 31st March 2026, with the potential for further extensions.
This role is responsible for leading the design, development, testing and deployment of new Mechatronic Systems. Working within the core engineering team, this role will support the development of the customer and system level requirements and the creation of system targets and specifications in order to fulfil these.
The role requires the individual to develop and deliver the commodity working across multiple teams with diverse stakeholders, understanding their needs to successfully integrate a solution that is to quality, cost and time with technical integrity.
Skills Required:- Experience and good working knowledge of product creation and delivery, change control, product definition and change management processes.
- Experience defining the customer level requirements for agreed features through the application of Use Case Analysis and requirements elicitation and derivation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with influencing and engagement skills.
- Knowledge of Systems Engineering Principles and Process with relevant experience of system definition, system architecture development, requirements specification, design/performance modelling, systems integration, system assessment and acceptance.
- Requirements Management.
- Good verbal and written communications, experience of document authoring and review.
- Analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Track record as an effective team player with strong interpersonal skills.
- Confident in engaging with a wide range of stakeholders and driving progress through regular meetings and reviews.
- Relevant component knowledge with Latches, Spindle Drives and Control Modules.
- Knowledge of Automotive Mechatronic Systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with strong influencing and engagement skills.
