Our OEM Client based in Bruntingthorpe, Lutterworth, is looking for a Storesperson who has an interest in motorcycles to join their team on a permanent basis. The Workshop Department manages the stores, which includes goods-in and goods-out. The UKTC workshop is responsible for the development of current and future models of Motorcycles, this includes supporting engine and chassis projects on/off site. The stores area is a critical part of this as controlling issue levels of prototype and current parts is essential.
Purpose: The main purpose of the job is to provide support to the Workshop Department through carrying out general storage duties. This includes responsibilities such as coordinating goods-in and out, stock control and the archiving of parts. This role supports the Workshop Department in being able to function effectively and efficiently.
Responsibilities:
- General storage duties, managing and maintaining store logistics in an organised and efficient manner.
- Raise PR/PO/GRN using SAP.
- Track and analyse parts stock levels.
- Support Chassis and Engine builds through the managing and coordination of parts associated with related development projects.
- Operating a forklift truck to move parts in and out of storage and racking.
- Monitor and manage goods-in and goods-out, liaising and maintaining excellent relationships with both internal and external stakeholders and handling any associated administration, i.e. delivery notes and invoices as documented in internal processes.
- Unpacking of Parts & Motorcycles.
- Driving a pool car/van to deliver and collect from suppliers.
Essential Experience Required:
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Active team player, who shares information with colleagues and internal customers via team meetings, databases, filing systems, etc.
- Full, valid UK driving licence.
- High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Customer and quality focused.
- Confident, tactful, diplomatic, enthusiastic.
- Previous experience in a similar role.
- Ability to maintain excellent relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
Experience Preferred:
- Previous experience in automotive market, preferably Motorcycle.
- Computer literate - competent in using Google App Suite, including Google Sheets.
- An interest in/knowledge of Motorcycles.
- Experience driving a van and/or larger vehicles.
- International driving experience preferred.
- Forklift truck experience.
Essential Education Required:
- Good standard of general education (GCSE English and Maths grade C or equivalent).
