Our OEM Client based in Whitley, Coventry, is searching for a Workshop Manual Author to join their team, Inside IR35. This is a maternity cover contract position with a proposed end date of 30th April 2027.

Umbrella Pay Rate: £30.58 per hour.

A Workshop Manual Author is responsible for the creation and ongoing maintenance of Workshop Manual (WSM) content within TOPIx. WSM content should prioritise technician experience first, delivering accurate and methodical processes that support efficient vehicle repair.

The Workshop Manual Author works closely with a wide range of stakeholders, including:

  • Workshop Manual Leads
  • Product Engineering
  • SERP
  • Service Programme Leads
  • TOPIx Commodity Leads
  • Service Tooling
  • Markets (NSCs)

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:

  • Creation of TOPIx WSM content
  • Conduct virtual validation of procedures using CAD
  • Conduct physical validation of procedures using prototype and production vehicles/units to ensure accuracy, feasibility, and repeatability
  • Identify, communicate repair and serviceability issues to stakeholders, providing well-reasoned proposals to support effective resolutions
  • Monitor, investigate, and resolve technician feedback submitted through TOPIx to continually improve WSM content and technician experience
