Our OEM Client based in Coventry is searching for a Battery Test Senior Technician to join their team, Inside IR35. This is a contract position with a proposed end date of 31st March 2027. Umbrella Pay Rate: 23.60 per hour.
Duties:
- The Battery Test Operations Team is part of Powertrain Test Operations within Product Engineering Operations.
- The team maintains productive test workflow for HV Battery development at our internal test labs at ABE Lyons Park (Coventry) and BatLab (Gaydon), delivering high-quality electrical characterisation and performance data at cell, module and pack level.
- The team also supports HV battery activity at other internal sites and external test facilities.
- The Battery Test Senior Technician role will support our internal facilities to ensure that productive output is maintained to deliver quality test data to our internal customers/partners.
- Will be responsible for facilitating specialist equipment, providing and maintaining common standard operational processes, and will seek to optimise operational capability through regular involvement in continuous improvement activities.
- You will be required to become highly proficient in the operational and maintenance requirements of battery test equipment and instrumentation and will lead and support the associated reporting and issue resolution activities.
