Our OEM Client based in Gaydon is searching for an Agile Project Engineer to join their team, Inside IR35. This is a contract position with a proposed end date of 31st March 2027.
Umbrella Pay Rate: £33.64 per hour.
Duties:
- We’re re-examining our vehicles and what a vehicle means in the emerging world of automation, connectedness, electrification and the shared economy.
- Join a team of next generation thinkers within Engineering Delivery, enabling the delivery of critical future engineering programmes, including development of cutting-edge technologies ranging from future autonomous driving capabilities through to delivering the future all-electric vehicles.
- This role will support the delivery of such programmes, the projects and their interdependencies within the Engineering Delivery team, using an Agile operating model.
- Typically, this will involve the identification, planning and co-ordination of specific projects, working with Product Owners and Scrum Masters across different levels of the Agile organisation.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver projects utilising project management techniques to ensure the delivery and achievement of strategic business objectives.
- Work with the operational business to understand current processes and to document and prioritise requirements for changes and additions.
- Management of required Governance, including milestone reporting, project status reporting, and risk and issue management.
- Proactively monitor Engineering health through agreed KPIs leading to the resolution of risks.
- Apply Agile project management principles in order to develop more effective and efficient ways of working.
- Manage stakeholders to ensure projects add value and are aligned to stakeholder expectations.
- Undertake any other work as directed by their line manager in connection with their job as may be requested.
Essential Skills, Knowledge and Experience Required:
- Previous experience in a similar role in Project Management with track record of delivery with the experience or knowledge of the ‘Agile’ project management framework.
- The ability to manage risks and issues combined with analytical skills to identify how one issue or risk can impact on another and put in place the required interventions through support or from own knowledge base.
- A methodical detailed approach to work.
- Ability to present complex data & issues to a varied audience.
- Experience resolving problems using structured approaches and problem-solving tools.
- Adaptability skills; to be able to respond to change in priorities.
- Proficiency in Microsoft software as well as the ability to learn how to use project management tools such as Jira and Confluence.
- To be an effective team-player who supports colleagues to deliver shared objectives.
