Our OEM Client based in Gaydon, is searching for an Acoustics Engineer to join their team, Inside IR35. This is a contract position until 31st March 2026.

Umbrella Pay Rate: £33.64 per hour.

Duties:

  • Responsible for monitoring and minimising the variability of wind noise performance on current production vehicle lines.
  • Be an in-plant representative for the wind noise attribute, acting as a voice of the customer in the manufacturing environment.
  • The role is to detect where attribute performance could vary away from target (via. objective measurement, subjective drive, static assessment/measurement, over checking build conformance to assembly process, etc.).
  • Perform initial root cause investigation and drive issues through to resolution with the relevant responsible areas.
  • This role will liaise closely with Core Aeroacoustics Team to understand future products entering plant launch and their critical attribute characteristics as well as ongoing quality actions on current products.
  • Flexibility to work across various sites (Gaydon / Coventry / Solihull / Halewood) is required.

Skills Required:

  • Experience of working in an automotive production plant quality role.
  • Experience applying engineering problem solving methodologies (six sigma / 8D / Root Cause Analysis) to complex issues.
  • Full driving licence and ability to subjectively assess driven attributes.
  • Experience of plant attributes (S&R / Wind Noise / Water Test) / NVH development and measurement / vehicle testing and assessment / automotive component development.
