Our OEM Client based in Gaydon is searching for a Cockpit Test & Development Engineer to join their team, Inside IR35. This is a maternity cover contract position with a proposed end date of 31st March 2027. Umbrella Pay Rate: Β£27.03 per hour.
Key Performance Indicators:
- To successfully deliver final engineering sign-off of new cockpit content to programme gateway timing.
- To set up, monitor, track and report out development progression.
- Setting up the test and development plan for several new cockpit programmes.
- Preparing parts for testing, evaluating results, resolving any problems arising, writing reports and filing back to RMDV.
- Test facility / workshop teams.
- Previous experience of resolution of business, technical and process issues within a Project Team environment.
- An understanding of Engineering Standards and Test Procedures.
- Previous experience within engineering or programme planning departments.
- Building trust by speaking openly and honestly, listening attentively, and treating others respectfully.
- An individual with the capability to combine a short term, pragmatic focus with medium term planning.
- An individual with the ability to challenge existing thinking in a positive way whilst building credibility and trust through experience and personal style.
