Our OEM Client based in Gaydon is searching for a Computational Fluid Dynamics Engineer to join their team, Inside IR35. This is a contract position with a proposed end date of 31st March 2027. Umbrella Pay Rate: £27.03 per hour.
Duties: The Thermal CFD team provides specialized skills in fluid dynamics through computer modelling techniques. This covers full vehicle thermal analysis to ensure the components and systems are robust to their thermal environment.
Responsibilities include:
- Supporting the Lead Engineers to manage their projects/processes, working independently with limited supervision.
- Managing and maintaining the simulation models for completeness and quality.
- Communicating issues, developing and supporting their resolution.
Essential Skills Required:
- An excellent understanding of thermal CFD analysis and thermal processes ideally using StarCCM+.
- Excellent report writing and communication skills.
- The ability to lead technical issue resolution with the support of the test team, CAE teams, Technical Specialists and any external parties.
Desirable Skills Requested:
- Climatic Wind Tunnels and Hot Environment Testing.
- Whole vehicle thermal validation.
Education Required: Degree level in a technical subject.
