Our OEM Client based in Gaydon is searching for a PI Planner to join their team, Inside IR35. This is a 12-month contract position initially until 31st March 2026, with the potential for further extensions. Umbrella Pay Rate: £27.03 per hour.
The Validation Team within PI is responsible for ensuring that the data output is at the highest quality level possible, removing any possible error state reaching the customer that could result in a mis-build or inability to build or price. Working with colleagues in PI, programme teams, Engineering etc., they aim to remove any mis-alignment of data through semi-automated validation processes, with the goal of passing zero defects to any other part of the business that consumes PI data.
In this role, you will be responsible for validation of the schedule data in the Launch phases – from HTFB build to job 1. You will work with engineering to identify and track issues via AIM or concerns. Quality is our key deliverable.

- Delivery in-line with programme timing.

- Validation metrics published daily via night letter.

- Re-validate issues once AIMS is resolved.
Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage BOM validation activities in-line with PI planning expectations.
- Arrange meetings with engineers to validate parts.
- Raise issues using the AIMS tool or live engineering concerns.
- Create and publish master metrics via a night letter daily during validation activities.
- Facilitate handover meetings and confirm closure of AIMS raised through validation.

Experience Required:
- Strong project management and time/workload management skills with the ability to work alone.

- Working knowledge of Excel (vlookup).
- Understanding of BOM usages.
Desirable:
- Knowledge and experience of the Product Information processes and data structure would be an advantage.
- Experience in handling complex situations at a technical level.
- Strong analytical skills.
- Competent at data analysis and manipulation in MS Excel, with more advanced skills being an advantage.
- Confident in communicating.
