Our OEM Client based in Gaydon, is searching for a Mechatronics Engineer to join their team, Inside IR35.

This is a maternity cover contract position with a proposed end date of 31st March 2027.

Duties: Designs, analyses, modifies, and integrates robotics, automation, technologies and processes related to equipment and tooling for applicability to programs and products.

Develops, implements, and tests preventative maintenance plans, interim solutions for damaged and unsafe equipment, and tooling.

Investigates and documents engineering changes and controls equipment and tooling configuration in accordance with standard operating procedures.

Develops and recommends equipment reliability improvements through the application of reliability engineering tooling.

Managing large projects or processes with limited oversight from manager.

Coaching, reviewing and delegating work to lower-level professionals.

Practical experience building verification and validation rigs for formal approval / sign off.

Knowledge of using Sys ML and Matlab/Simulink for Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE).

Experience in network architecture design/communication networks.

Complex issue resolution across various functional commodities for testing.

Positive attitude, and willingness to get involved with tasks across the System Engineering lifecycle.

Ability to communicate with a wide range of audiences on sometimes complex issues, topics and engineering principles and practices.

Ability to challenge existing thinking in a positive way whilst building credibility and trust through experience and personal style.

Experience of building and managing multiple relationships in complex stakeholder environments.

Experience of working in the automotive industry.

  • Experience of dealing with safety critical systems especially automotive.

Experience in complex electronics rig build preferred.

Education

Required: Degree in Engineering or other STEM subjects.

Minimum: Degree in Electronics / Systems engineering.

Degree in System or Mechanical Engineering.
